# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • You are literally brewing something most people treat as a nuisance, which feels wonderfully rebellious
  • The gentle bitterness wakes up your palate without the jitters of coffee, making it perfect for slow mornings
02 -
  • Never harvest from areas where dogs frequent or where you suspect pesticides have been sprayed
  • The bitterness mellows significantly with longer steeping time, so do not give up after your first too-brief attempt
03 -
  • Use a glass teapot if you have one because watching the petals float and release their color is half the magic
  • Save the strained flowers in your compost bin or scatter them outside as a little offering back to the earth
