02 - On a lightly floured surface, roll pizza dough into a rectangle measuring approximately 10 x 14 inches.
03 - Spread pizza sauce evenly over dough, leaving a small border along one long edge for sealing.
04 - Distribute shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses uniformly across the sauce.
05 - Arrange pepperoni slices, bell pepper strips, and red onion slices over the cheese layer.
06 - Sprinkle dried Italian herbs evenly over the topping layer.
07 - Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice dough into 8 strips along the shorter edge, approximately 1.25 inches wide each.

11 - Allow to cool for 5 minutes in the tin. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired and serve warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • They look impressive but take less than 45 minutes from start to finish
  • Everyone can customize their own rose with different toppings
  • The muffin tin portion control means no fighting over the last slice
02 -
  • Overfilling the strips makes them burst open during baking, leaving cheese everywhere
  • Letting them cool in the tin for those 5 minutes is crucial or they fall apart when you try to lift them out
03 -
  • Use kitchen scissors to cut the dough strips if you do not have a pizza cutter
  • Work quickly once the dough is at room temperature or it becomes floppy and hard to handle
